1. Scope

These Terms of Service govern the use of the mangia app (mangia-app.com), operated by:

By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

2. Contract formation and user account

A usage contract is formed when you register an account. Each person may create one account, which is assigned to exactly one family (workspace). Family members can join via an invitation link.

Use of mangia requires a minimum age of 18.

3. Services

mangia offers two subscription tiers:

mangia is ad-free in all tiers. Your data is not sold or shared for advertising purposes.

4. Payment and subscription

Payment is processed exclusively via Google Play Billing. The Google Play terms of use apply additionally. Prices are shown in the app currency of your Google Play account.

The subscription starts with the purchase and renews automatically for the chosen period (monthly or yearly) unless cancelled via Google Play in time before the renewal date.

5. Right of withdrawal

The right of withdrawal for digital content expires once performance begins, as soon as you have expressly agreed that performance starts before the withdrawal period ends. Refunds are processed according to Google Play's policies.

6. Usage rights and content

The recipes and content you create in mangia remain your property. You grant mangia a licence to process this content in order to provide the app's services (e.g. for AI-assisted weekly planning and shopping lists).

If you share a recipe publicly (via share link), it can be viewed by third parties. You can revoke this sharing at any time.

7. Prohibited use

The following uses are prohibited:

• Automated retrieval of content (scraping, bots, bulk access)
• Distribution of unlawful, discriminatory or impermissible content
• Circumvention of technical protection measures
• Use of the app for commercial purposes without express permission

8. Liability

Any liability for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or follow-on damages is excluded to the maximum extent permitted by law.

mangia gives no warranty for the completeness, correctness or safety of AI-generated content (recipes, weekly plan, nutritional information). All AI results should be checked yourself before use — in particular in the case of allergies or intolerances.

mangia is not liable for outages, errors or data loss at third-party services (Google, Supabase, RevenueCat, Brave Search and others).

9. Discontinuation and availability

mangia may discontinue operation at any time, with or without prior notice, or change the scope of services. In the event of a complete shutdown, users will be informed as early as possible. Paid subscription periods that have not yet expired will be refunded on a pro-rata basis.

There is no entitlement to permanent availability. Maintenance, updates and temporary interruptions may occur without notice.

10. Cancellation

You can cancel your subscription at any time via Google Play → Subscriptions. After cancellation, your account is downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the paid period, without data loss.

You can delete your account entirely under Settings → Delete account. All your data is then irrevocably removed.

11. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

Swiss law applies (CO, revFADP). The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Basel, Switzerland. For consumers in the EU, mandatory consumer protection provisions of the respective home country remain unaffected.

12. Dispute resolution

The EU Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. mangia does not participate in an alternative dispute resolution procedure.

13. Changes to these Terms

mangia reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via push notification or email. Continued use of the app after the changes take effect is deemed acceptance.
