How does my family actually eat?
mangia builds a small balance from your weekly plan: how many plants, how much meat, how seasonal — per week.
No diary. No calorie counting.
Nutrition apps want to track every gram. You just want to know whether the week was roughly balanced — and whether the kids ate enough variety.
Solid pace.
Still 19 species to go this week.
Carrot · Broccoli · Tomato
Apple · Banana · Pear
Lentils · Chickpeas

Weekly balance from your plan.
Nothing extra to enter. From the recipes you've planned, mangia builds three tabs: plant variety (how many distinct fruits and vegetables), meat grams per person and seasonal share. No tracking, no diary — just an honest view of your week.
Plant variety
See how many distinct fruits and vegetables you ate this week — WHO recommends 30 per week.
Meat share
Grams per person per week — visible, without getting moralistic.
Seasonal share
How much of what you eat is actually in season in your region right now.
Frequently asked
Do I need a food diary for this?
No. Balance builds from your weekly plan. What you planned counts — you don't enter anything extra.
Is it calculated for kids too?
Yes. In the Family plan you can add kid profiles — quantities scale to kid portions.
What counts as a "plant"?
Each distinct fruit, vegetable, legume, nut or herb counts once per week. Potato and carrot are two — carrot and carrot are one.
Can I see past weeks?
Yes. You can scroll through past weeks and spot trends — like plant variety dropping in winter.
Is balance in the Free plan?
Balance is part of Plus and Family. Weekly plan and shopping stay free in every plan.
